I. Lawful Fee Structures of GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES Qatar Office
Based on Qatari legal service regulatory rules and the cross-border service conventions of Chinese-funded enterprises, five standardised compliant billing models are established, fully aligned with international commercial service standards in the Middle East:
A. Fixed Fee ArrangementApplicable to routine services with fixed procedures and accurately quantifiable workload, such as entity establishment, basic compliance filing and standard document processing. The total fee is locked upon signing the engagement letter, with no additional charges incurred throughout the service period.
B. Hourly Rate ArrangementApplicable to non-standard services such as major cross-border projects, complex dispute cases and customised compliance consultancy. Fees are charged based on the effective working hours of the assigned lawyers. A detailed hourly breakdown statement is issued on a monthly basis, with full traceability and verifiability throughout the process.
C. Percentage of Subject Matter ArrangementApplicable to property-related services such as cross-border mergers and acquisitions, energy asset transactions and large-scale commercial claims. Fees are charged on a tiered basis according to the value of the subject matter, in line with the industry practice of high-end commercial legal services in the Middle East.
D. Contingency Fee ArrangementWithin the framework of Qatari practice regulations, this arrangement is only applicable to debt collection, commercial recovery and tort claim cases. Fees are charged conditional on a successful outcome or actual fund recovery, with the fee ratio not exceeding 25% of the total recovered amount.
E.Annual Retainer ArrangementProvides enterprises with year-round, full-scope legal protection. A fixed service fee is charged annually, with a dedicated trilingual service team assigned and a 48-hour priority response guarantee, covering all aspects of compliance and risk control in daily business operations.
