2026 Fee Schedule of GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES Danish Office

In September 2024, GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES inaugurated its Danish office in the central business district of Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. As the firm’s core service hub for its Nordic expansion and integration with the EU legal system, the office specialises in two-way cross-border legal services for Chinese enterprises entering the EU market and Danish enterprises investing in China. The service team comprises locally admitted Danish lawyers, China-EU cross-border legal practitioners, and EU compliance specialists, with core members holding over 10 years of cross-jurisdictional service experience. It delivers professional services in Chinese, English and Danish, covering cross-border investment, commercial compliance, dispute resolution, energy and infrastructure, and providing full-cycle cross-border legal support for enterprises and individuals.

This document serves as the benchmark fee reference for GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES’ Danish Office for 2026. All quoted fees exclude the standard 25% Danish value-added tax (VAT). Settlement is available in multiple currencies: Danish Krone (DKK), Euro (EUR), Renminbi (CNY) and US Dollar (USD). The fee structure strictly adheres to Danish legal service industry norms and relevant EU regulatory requirements.

I. Standardised Fee Models

In line with EU commercial service conventions and the service needs of cross-border enterprises, five transparent billing methods are adopted with no hidden charges:

1.Fixed fee arrangement: Applicable to standardised basic services such as company registration, qualification filing and document drafting. The total service fee is confirmed upon contract signing, with no additional charges thereafter.

2.Hourly rate arrangement: Applicable to customised services such as cross-border M&A, complex disputes and specialised compliance projects. Fees are calculated based on actual working hours, with verifiable time breakdowns provided on a monthly basis.

3.Value-based tiered fee arrangement: Applicable to asset-related services such as asset transactions, large-scale commercial recovery and investment and financing. Fees are charged on a tiered basis according to the value of the subject matter.

4.Contingency fee arrangement: Exclusively applicable to debt collection and commercial claim cases. Fees are calculated based on actual recovered funds, with the charging ratio not exceeding 25% of the total recovered amount.

5.Annual legal counsel retainer: A fixed annual service fee is charged, with a dedicated multilingual service team assigned and 48-hour response to consultations, covering daily compliance and risk control for enterprises.

II. Hourly Billing Rates for Legal Services

All members of the service team hold valid Danish legal practice qualifications, with differentiated pricing based on practice level and area of specialisation. For 2026, the hourly rate ranges from DKK 1,750 to DKK 5,900, covering all levels: junior lawyers, specialist lawyers, partners and cross-border experts. The final rate is comprehensively determined based on case complexity, service timeline and team configuration.
