I. Legitimate Fee Models of Guozun Cathay Associates Peru Office
We strictly abide by the Peruvian Lawyers Profession Act and the practice and fee rules of the Lima Bar Association. Taking into account the cross-border service practices of Chinese-funded enterprises, we have customised five standardised fee models, which fully comply with Peru’s judicial regulatory requirements and international commercial legal service standards:
1.Fixed Fee Model
Applicable to basic legal services with standardised processes and accurately calculable workload. The total price is locked in upon engagement with no subsequent additional charges, covering standardised matters such as enterprise commercial registration, basic compliance filings, standard document processing and routine qualification applications.
2.Hourly Rate Model
Applicable to non-standardised services such as major cross-border projects, complex dispute cases, customised compliance consulting and dedicated legal due diligence. Fees are charged based on the effective working hours of lawyers, with detailed time sheets issued monthly, fully verifiable and traceable throughout the process.
3.Subject Matter Value Proportional Model
Applicable to property-related matters such as cross-border mergers and acquisitions, asset transactions and large-scale commercial claims. Fees are charged on a tiered basis according to the value of the subject matter, in line with the practice of Peru’s high-end commercial legal service industry.
4.Contingency Fee Model
Within the framework of Peruvian lawyers’ practice rules, this model is only applicable to debt collection, commercial recovery and tort claim cases. Fees are conditional upon successful payment recovery / case outcome, and the fee ratio shall not exceed 30% of the actual amount recovered.
5.Annual Legal Counsel Retainer Model
Provides enterprises with annual full-scope legal support for a fixed annual service fee, supported by an exclusive bilingual (Chinese-Spanish) service team with 48-hour priority response, covering full-dimensional compliance and risk prevention for daily enterprise operations.
