GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES Argentina Office: Official Release of 2026 Fee Schedule

GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES officially inaugurated its Argentina Office in March 2024 in Buenos Aires, the capital of the Argentine Republic. The office serves as the core strategic pivot for GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES’ expansion into the South American legal services market and forms a key component of the firm’s global cross-border legal service network.

The dedicated service team comprises senior cross-border lawyers seconded from GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES’ head office, locally registered practising lawyers in Argentina, and Latin American regional cross-border legal experts. Core team members each hold over 10 years of experience in Sino-Argentine bilateral legal services, with in-depth expertise in Argentina’s judicial system, regulatory policies and commercial practices. Focused on core demands including two-way Sino-Argentine cross-border investment, commercial compliance, industry-specific services and dispute resolution, the office provides localised, end-to-end and integrated professional legal services to Chinese-funded enterprises, local Argentine businesses, multinational institutions and individual clients.

This document sets out the official unified fee schedule of GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES Argentina Office for 2026. All quoted prices are exclusive of Argentine Value Added Tax (Impuesto al Valor Agregado, IVA). Settlement is available freely in three currencies: United States Dollars (USD), Renminbi (CNY) and Argentine Pesos (ARS). The final settlement exchange rate shall be based on the official bank spot rate on the date of execution of the service contract.

1. Compliant Fee Models of GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES Argentina Office

In strict compliance with the Argentine Lawyers’ Professional Act, the practice rules and fee guidelines of the Argentine Bar Association, and with due regard to the cross-border service conventions of Chinese-funded enterprises, the office has established five standardised fee models, all fully aligned with Argentine judicial regulations and international commercial service standards:

1.1 Fixed Fee Model

Applicable to basic legal services with standardised workflows and accurately quantifiable workload. The total fee is locked upon contract execution with no subsequent add-on charges, covering standardised matters such as establishment of commercial entities, basic compliance filings, and drafting and processing of standard-form legal documents.

1.2 Hourly Rate Model

Applicable to non-standard legal services including major cross-border projects, complex dispute cases and customised compliance advisory work. Charges are calculated based on the effective working hours of lawyers, with detailed itemised timesheets issued monthly for full auditability and traceability.

1.3 Proportionate Fee Model (by Subject Matter Value)

Applicable to property-related matters such as cross-border mergers and acquisitions, asset transactions and large-value commercial claims. Fees are charged on a tiered basis according to the value of the case or project, in line with prevailing practice for high-end commercial legal services in Argentina.

1.4 Conditional Fee Model

Within the framework of Argentine lawyers’ professional practice rules, this model applies exclusively to property-related cases such as debt collection, commercial recovery and tort claims. Fees are payable only upon actual recovery of funds or successful outcome of the case, with the charging ratio not exceeding 30% of the actual amount recovered.

1.5 Annual Legal Advisory Retainer Model

Provides enterprises with full-scope annual legal support for a fixed annual fee, covering all-round compliance and risk prevention and control for daily business operations.

2. Hourly Rate Standards for Lawyers of GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES Argentina Office

All practising lawyers at GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES Argentina Office hold valid practising certificates issued by the Argentine Bar Association. The core team is proficient in the application of laws across both the Chinese and Argentine jurisdictions, and delivers seamless services in Chinese-Spanish or Chinese-English bilingual settings. Senior partners hold practising qualifications across multiple Latin American jurisdictions and possess deep expertise in core fields including cross-border investment, international commerce, energy and mining, and compliance and regulation. A tiered pricing system is in operation.

The unified hourly rate range for 2026 is USD 180 – USD 580 per hour, covering all tiers from junior practising lawyers, intermediate specialist lawyers and senior partners to cross-border experts from the Beijing Head Office of GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES. The final applicable rate shall be determined holistically, taking into account the complexity of the case or project, professional fit, urgency and team configuration.

2.1 Additional Charging Provisions

(1)A travel and fieldwork allowance of 25% to 50% shall be levied for work conducted outside Argentina.

(2)A 50% surcharge shall apply for 48-hour urgent response, and for work carried out on public holidays or outside standard working hours.

4. Key Factors Determining Legal Fees

1.Complexity of cross-border compliance: Fees are uplifted according to difficulty for cases or projects involving dual-jurisdictional legal application under Chinese and Argentine law, cross-border evidence collection, multi-national entity collaboration, or multi-regional coordination across Latin America.

2.Industry-specific professional barriers: Fees for highly specialised sectors including energy and mining, financial regulation, cross-border investment and infrastructure engineering are higher than for general civil and commercial legal services.

3.Case handling difficulty: Fees for matters such as major litigation and arbitration, complex cross-border enforcement, dedicated regulatory response and transnational evidence gathering are adjusted dynamically based on actual circumstances.

4.Service urgency: For urgent instruction, and for work performed outside standard working hours or on public holidays, the urgent service surcharge shall apply strictly in accordance with published standards, with no scope for negotiation.

5.Procurement and cooperation model: Packaged annual legal advisory retainer arrangements deliver a 15% to 25% reduction in overall service costs compared with ad-hoc single-service instructions.

6.Service team configuration: Fees are adjusted accordingly for matters handled jointly by multiple specialists, involving cross-border support from the head office, or delivered by a dedicated bilingual team.

7.Case performance risk: The fee ratio under conditional fee arrangements is directly correlated with the likelihood of success, difficulty of fund recovery, service duration and jurisdiction of enforcement.

5. Additional Third-Party Fees to Be Budgeted

The following charges are separate from legal service fees and shall be reimbursed at actual cost, in line with official Argentine standards or verified disbursements. The firm does not apply any handling premium or markup for these items:

1.Government fees: Official charges levied by Argentine authorities, including commercial entity registration fees, visa application fees, court filing fees, arbitration fees, intellectual property official fees and licence registration fees.
