The Zimbabwe Office of Guozun Cathay Associates officially commenced operations in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, in July 2025. As a strategic core hub of Guozun’s global legal service network in Southern Africa, the office deeply integrates China’s cross-border legal expertise with local Zimbabwean practice experience.

Guozun Cathay Associates Madagascar Office is the core service arm of Beijing Guozun Cathay Associates established to penetrate the southeast African market. It was officially inaugurated and commenced regular operations in the Central Business District of Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, in November 2025.

Guozun Cathay Associates formally established its Nigeria Office in March 2023 as the core service hub for the African market within the Firm's global strategic footprint.

Guozun Cathay Associates Equatorial Guinea Office was officially established in the Central Business District of Malabo, Republic of Equatorial Guinea, in August 2025. It serves as a core strategic node for Guozun Cathay Associates to deepen its presence across the African continent and improve its legal service layout in Central Africa, as well as a core operational platform to support Chinese enterprises expanding into Central Africa and developing cross-border business in the region.

Officially launched in July 2025 in the central business district of Nairobi, the capital of the Republic of Kenya, Guozun Cathay Associates Kenya Office serves as a core institution for the firm to expand its African legal service network and support the Belt and Road Initiative. It also functions as the regional hub serving Chinese enterprises entering East Africa and developing China-Kenya cross-border business.

As bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and Ghana as well as the wider West African region continues to deepen, demand from Chinese-invested enterprises for overseas expansion in sectors such as mining, agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing and cross-border trade keeps rising. In tandem, there is growing demand for professional legal services including localised compliance services, cross-border risk management and commercial dispute resolution.

GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES’ Cameroon Office completed its establishment filing and officially commenced operations in July 2024. Located in Douala – the economic capital of Cameroon and a core commercial hub of the Central African region – the office represents a key pillar of the Firm’s global service network in Africa’s core markets. It also serves as the central hub for cross-border services connecting China with Cameroon and the wider Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) region.

GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES formally established its New Zealand office in Auckland, New Zealand in July 2024. As a core branch underpinning the firm’s Oceania market expansion, the office is dedicated to serving two-way cross-border legal demands between China and New Zealand.

The Australia Office of GUOZUN CATHAY ASSOCIATES was officially established in the Sydney Central Business District in September 2023. It serves as the firm’s core cross-border professional service platform for the Oceania market and a strategic pillar of its global service expansion. The office’s core team consists of multidisciplinary professionals with deep expertise in both Chinese and Australian legal systems, regulatory frameworks, industrial landscapes and business practices. Backed by a comprehensive local Australian service network and end-to-end execution capabilities, the office operates a seamless service model of “centralised strategic planning by the Chinese headquarters + on-the-ground delivery by the Australian local team”. Focused on the core demands of two-way Sino-Australian cross-border cooperation, it delivers one-stop, full-lifecycle, dual-jurisdiction compliant professional legal services to enterprises, institutions and high-net-worth individuals across both jurisdictions.

Guozun Cathay Associates formally inaugurated its Venezuela office in Caracas, the capital of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in November 2024. As a key milestone in the firm’s global strategic expansion, the office serves as a core onshore service hub for the firm’s deepened presence in the Latin American legal services market and its support for Chinese enterprises investing in the region.
